Have you all perfected balancing food on the loop for on-the-go snacks? #lifehacks

I'm using them on an old MTB so I had to go from 100 to 80 and now experimenting with 60.
The reach was massively extended from my old bars, as was the stack lowered.I do wish they were a tiny bit wider, but aside from that, it's like you said, within 3 days so far, I've already wrapped part of the bars I use the positions so much. Sweep is perfect as well. Much comfort.

Has anyone tried swapping these in for a set of drops, and if so, what reach did you aim for?

Here's another top tip, get yourself into halfords, and they sell the long foam grips that used to be on cheap racers, for a fiver. And you get two pairs.
This is as opposed to the esi version, which although being a far superior pair, are nigh on £40. The cheap ones are more than decent though!
When choosing your packet off the halfords shelf, give them all a good squeeze, as some pairs seem to be better than others.....you are looking for firmness! Install with hairspray, and you are good to go for ages till they wear out. -

Love it. This thread is so cheapskate

It seems that SOMA really doesn't care about it either. And their Osprey bar is pretty bang on the Jones Bend.
And it costs 15$ less. -

It was more a dig at the direction Alpkit area aiming for but yeah, what bastards, throw them in the stocks!

And that's a pretty bang on a Dutch moustache type handlebar
On another note, I didn't have success with acetone. Could the logos be laser etched?

Sharpie or lovely nail varnish.....both available in wilkos, for maximum cheapness!

I just taped over it neat like. Mind you, I did wrap half of the bars in tape. Much hand position, very aero, wow.

Fitted mine today but forgot to take photos.
I'd failed to realise that the front loop would overhang my pizza rack so much but in reality, I doubt it'll be an issue.

What @Heldring said - those style bars have existed long before Jones bought out his non-loop Bend H-Bar...

I was talking to a guy at an alleycatlast night n he was saying that when the images first appeared of the Jones copy Fu Manchu's, STW users/readers all moaned about them ripping Jones off so that might be what put Alpkit off selling these ones on a larger scale.

Picked mine up from the post office today, surprisingly well finished(dude at alpkit said they were only prototype quality finish).
They're going on LadyLiz's new Troll but need to lay my hands on an oversized stem for them. -

Finding mine a much better shape than the cheap swept back Ergotecs I had on before.

That's a beauty. You build some nice bikes!
I've been using them for two days. Came from 34° sweep OnOne OG bars. The 10° more sweep (Alpkit 45°) is noticeable and I'm grateful for it. Finish of bars is good.
When I first got them out I was worried that the central bar for stem was a little skewed, but mounted up they feel fine.
The available hand positions are useful on my commute. didnt think I'd use them as much as I am.
I need to get a shorter stem, though, as Jones suggests, to make best use of all the positions. The rearward position at the edges of the bars should be very upright and the front positions shouldn't feel stretched, they should be comfortable. It makes sense so I'll try 80mm stem rather than my 100.
If anyone wants to trade a 80 10° black Thomson for 100 0° black Thomson, PM me.
