850 GBP is crazy, I sold my Team Stuttgart (not NOS but with complete Croce d'Aune groupset) for that amount... (and think I got a fair price).
Have a good look at the decals, those will tell you if it's really NOS or respray. Resprays tend to use thin vinyl repro decals (often with the rainbow and Belgian colours in the wrong direction...); original decals are a bit thicker (you can "feel" them more than the repro's) and have a very particular outline (often gold coloured). It's difficult to explain but when you've seen enough "real" Merckx decals, you see the difference immediately.
How sure are you it's NOS? And not a respray?
