  • I am very good at taking notes with a virtual keyboard, have done so for years. I can't handle my own handwritten notes, so @TomvanHalen, a Surface machine isn't going to help me in any way... Any when I say note taking, I don't mean pages of pages of minutes taking or being in a hours long lectures. I am doing my teaching at the min and all of the classes are group discussion, hence a tablet is good for taking notes and consulting Google, I think...

  • Sounds like you know what you want. Galaxy tabs are well regarded.

    My note taking is for research, so the surface was perfect for my needs. Keyboard and pen marking of pdfs.

  • I did consider a surface pro after my Mac got stolen before Christmas, but then I ended up with another Mac (just used to a different system), more reason not needing another proper computer. I have been happy with iPad and Android tablets in the past, hence the Galaxy tab, but isn't it a bit too cheap to be true? After all Samsung is just as expensive as Apple on many levels...
