  • Have a look back over the thread ... it gets dicussed.

  • Mju 1s are also good, and the AF-1 mini ain't bad either.
Konica big mini seems to have a good following (never used one so I can't vouch for it)

  • ... or just another Trip.

  • Anyone ever serviced a Lecia M4 rangefinder (the actually rangefinder part)? Mine is sticky and needs a tweak up, need to get shooting with this bad boy again.

    • Portra 160-1.jpg
  • I'd send it out. Reddotcamera or aperture would be ideal

  • Ok, think it's beyond DIY capabilities?

  • Nothing is beyond capabilities but maybe hazardous

  • Spam alert - will be listing my good tripod in the classifieds here soon, basically haven't been using the Hasselblad. It's a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod with 808RC4 3-way head. Thinking £150?

  • Is there Kodak Gold 200 cheaply available in the UK?
Here you can get it at some drugstores, 3 rolls (36 exposures) for about 8 Euros.
Just bought some for film soup / redscale shenanigans, but also shot one roll "normally"..
..just scanning, and have to say it's pretty cool for budget film!

  • Just added some vignette. I can't remember the original car color though...I don't think that was actually it.
Learning still how to properly scan and fix issues from my flatbed scanner (Epson Perfection 4490).
This was shot on Kodak Portra 400 in a Nikon F80 / 50mm F1.4, so far one of the sharpest film I tried.

  • Just got 3 rolls (one provia, one ektachrome and one multispeed) back from peak imaging, and not all that impressed. They're normally really good, but two of the rolls have clearly been loaded on to the spools incorrectly, and two layers were touching. Also slightly disappointed with a roll on Fuji MS100/1000, which I shot at 800. It's showing it's age a bit, and is really grainy and low-contrast. Not had a chance to scan it all in properly yet, but here are a couple of the less shit frames, all shot on the GW690:

This is a rare photo, of me, taken on my own camera:

Edit: and here's a frame from the dodgy, expired film, as an example:

  • Love the colour of the car in your photo no matter if it's "true" or not.
Would just consider tweeking curves / contrast a bit.

  • Thanks!

Yeah should do that, still learning a bit of Gimp.

  • I don't mind the last one actually...

  • No. I've never seen a pack on sale here.

It's got a certain look, very 90s music-mag look. Teller used it. I like it and have a ton in the fridge (from Germany) but haven't been getting through it very quickly.

  • Teller used it.

Yea, he did, back in the days.. rumours have it he mostly used it with flash and some sort of filter in front of it.. haven't seen it look that "golden" in other peoples' pictures despite the name of the film..

  • The last one is ace!

  • This one is great, very dream like.

  • Cheers, glad you like it!
