Out of interest - why a dj turntable?

The sl1200 range is a lot better than most people assume. Even stock, with a reasonable cart it is pretty good.

As BRM says, with a few mods it can give a lot of "hi-fi" decks a run for their money, and it doesn't tend to fall apart after a few years either.
