I read on a hifi forum about people making some fairly straight forward mods to them and them actually sounding pretty good. a guy was selling one cheaply (with most of the mods), so I thought I would have a go. I thought that I could easily sell it on for what I paid if it wasn't an improvement of the michell.
new arm/cart, an external psu and a modified main bearing, were the mods. the psu/bearing are actually quite expensive (more than I paid for the whole tt!). you can get new feet, new mats and if you are feeling flush a whole new platter (£££). I am pretty happy with it. I might try the feet, but I really need to stop spending and start selling...
