Lots of skill on display yesterday.
Boastpost?

• #5803
Hardly, given the amount of time I spent on the deck

Can anyone recommend some good rims/wheels... might be looking into getting some in the near future... would prefer clinchers.

Got a half decent picture of you going up one of the humps.

Here you go

Cleanest kit eva!

• #5808
I gained a place because one my fellow v40s went beyond his skill level and stacked it there on the last lap.
-
• #5809
I stacked it twice on the last lap but managed to hold off a chap from Crawly who was clearly coping better with the muddification of the course better than I was.

Some snippets of the upcoming Worlds course with Sven Nys here;
Looks very technically challenging, even without the snow (which is forecast to have gone by the weekend).
-
• #5811
some good rims
I've been using the WTB i-19. Reasonable weight, reasonable price (£25 at CRC), and go up tubeless pretty easily.

Slow and steady may not win the race, but it does keep you looking clean.

• #5813
Worlds course looks interesting

That off camber, oofff! It'll thaw by race day though, so will be very different then.
-
• #5815
they have just widened that part because 'too dangerous', now includes a flatter bit. SAD!
-
• #5816
Is Quinten Hermans running slicks here?
-
• #5817
Turbo tyre? Challenge reported that they'd seen their full range of cross tyres on the course during practice today but it seems unlikely a fully slick tread would be any use.

Elite cyclocrossers

Hope the mechanics have got their hanger straightening tools! There's a video on Jeremy Durrin's instagram of a Swiss rider flying down there.
Looks like no brakes and absolute commitment is the key.

Lots of willy waving today. It won't be anywhere near as treacherous come the weekend, so spend time looking at lines that will work on race day rather than playing to the crowd.
-
• #5821
A decent preview of the Elite Men's race here;
And the Elite Women's race;
-
• #5822
hooray, the races tomorrow will also be on the UCI channel. I assume Tom Pidock's in the Juniors?
full list of links here in case anyone doesn't know http://www.uci.ch/cyclo-cross/news/article/live-181564/

Full lap of the course here;

The UCI channel is here - https://www.youtube.com/user/ucichannel
They will be streaming but some races, probably the Elite Women and Men races, might be geo-restricted if a broadcaster has bought the UK rights for them. You can, of course, circumvent this if required.
Tom Pidcock is in the Junior race and I think he's starting as the favourite, justifiably. The other chance of a British medal will come in the U23 Women's race where Evie Richards defends her title. That should be a cracking race as both Annemarie Worst and Laura Vanderschot have been riding well in recent weeks, as have Richards and Ellen Noble, who won the U23 World Cup.

They're also doing Mens Junior and U23 Mens and Womens so that's something to do at work tomorrow :)
Lots of skill on display yesterday.
From the excellent Dave Hayward. Seniors.
