They expand on their thinking here

I love jezebel.
My news updates are starting to look like a word scramble of horrors.
Do you think he'll bring back the 'Tour de Trump'?

There's a bit where they ask him about whether he'd ever become a politician (answer: no).

White House seems to have released a press release made up of positive quotes about Trump/administration.

You can almost picture the man himself sitting up into the small hours with his black sharpie and a stack of newspapers marking up the stories he wants in the press release.
Also, this is the kind of shit I'd expect in an oil-rich autocracy, not a democracy.
On that note, the Economist Intelligence Unit has downgraded the US from 'full democracy' to 'flawed democracy'. Although they say that's not because of Trump.

Wow, astonishing. Here's the whole thing.

I skim-read this one (obviously badly) as being: "It is a longstanding tradition that Presidents are afforded the opportunity to grow up outside of the political spotlight. The White House fully expects this tradition to continue. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter."

Wow. Is that definitely real?
That's not even a press release, it's a jumbled collection of quotes/links.

• #1359
Yup, it's real.

I love that a tweet is formally quoted. It's a new world.

Sniggering at the suggestion that Conway is already scheming to move up the ranks. I wouldn't put it past her. I'd be curious to know if her childhood has given her experience in dealing with an abuser/psychopath that would give her an advantage the others don't have.

He'll be out in a month.

re. Trump's late night Tweeting you really should Google "sundowning"

I hope the Washington Post and the NY Times are able to continue to hold Trump to account. They seem to manage to combine being robust but also fair-handed. And their in-depth analysis can be impressive. I'm not sure our papers quite match up.

Wow. Interesting to see that but a bunch of them are disappointed because he isn't doing the really hateful shit straight away.

Ooh, I bet that stings. Fascism won't stand a chance when the geeks bring out their heavy arsenal of nerdy pop culture references.
That, after all, is what gets these two charmers laid evrytime.
With the exception of Taiwan (which again, I think is madness), none of that shouts out as being particularly interventionist to me, and most of the other points (Nato, ending humanitarian aid, removing sanctions) strike me as much more isolationist.
Maybe you disagree, cool, but I think we can agree that his FP is shit. I just happen to think it could be much, much, worse. Trump + neo-con madness, in particular.
I hope I'm right.
