Any opinions on these two options for chainset?
- Cranks: Miche Primato Advanced
- Chainring: Miche Primato Advanced
- BB: Something like Shimano UN55
- Price together +- €130
vs
- Cranks: SRAM S300
- Chainring: Stronglight 1/8
- BB: SRAM GPX
- Price together +- €140 minus what I can get for the sram chainring
- Cranks: Miche Primato Advanced

Does stronglight do 130bcd 1/8 chainring, cant remember.
-
• #3404
Yes, they have the same chainring in 130 and 144bcd version, I think it's one of the few good 1/8 and 130bcd options, if anyone knows others let me know (looking for black ones and not too expensive)

Neither when you can put 20 euros more and have omniums:

How do I actually get a good chainline with the SRAM S300 (or omniums)?
It's just one axle length size? With a little luck I could end up with these prices:
€180 Miche Pistard Air (incl. bb)
€170 Miche Pistard 2.0 (incl. bb)
€160 Omniums (incl. bb)
€120 SRAM S300 (incl. bb and Stronglight chainring)
€120 Miche Primato (incl. bb)But I don't actually think I personally would notice any difference between these cranksets, so if I can stick to €120 that would be nice for my budget.
I messaged Pifko about the chainring, I'll see how that turns out. Maybe I can end up spending €100 or €110 for the S300/Stronglight setup.

You would definitely notice the difference between the miche and omniums.
Omniums are ace, primatos are cheese.

did we so quickly forget the headaches involving partnering omnomnoms with a pre cursa? yeah nice cranks, but apparently incompatible with the frame.
ild go around chasing second stuff on here if I were you. da7600 or sugino75s -

Depends on batch. The first 2016-17 frames with new decals are the ones affected. The incompatibility notice is still on their site.
@FixedGearAntwerp could be worth buying an older one if you want to use Omniums. See page 123-onwards of this thread for more info. -

ive just gone on the dolan website and it says 15th feb next stock for the new batch of frames.
so does the new batch fit omniums for sure?! -

^This.
But worth emailing them if you're unsure. -

I have a set of Alpina track forks on my track champ that I'd like to use for road TT's so I'd either like to a) drill them or b) swap them/sell them and buy a drilled set. Is anyone after a pair? They've only been used a few times on the track.
I'm having an absolute nightmare trying to find someone in Yorkshire to drill these ones (which seems the most sensible option), none of the bike shops will touch them. They are drillable, right?
These ones, but the undrilled ones (obviously) http://www.dolan-bikes.com/alpina-ud-carbon-track-fork-gloss-with-brake-hole.html

How much do you want for them? Where about in Yorkshire are you?
Then sell the ring and fit current 55t Zen.
