I'm not one to applaud violence but I'm feeling a decided lack of outrage on hearing that Richard Spencer got punched again.

That lovely Rollapaluzza ride which negotiated around Lea valley Ikea when I took over from Brent to get us home!
-
• #44104
Meaning that you navigated AWAY from Ikea. How can that be right?

Climate change may be escalating so fast it could be 'game over', scientists warn

I'm sure this is mostly for comedic effect, but its pretty disingenuous to suggest that because 90% of all species that have ever existed are extinct, therefore we shouldn't worry about extinctions now. Nearly all of the extinctions that have happened are in 5 small (in geological timescales) periods, and all current evidence points to us now being in a sixth, being caused by man-made climate change

Edit: also, obvious lol at people hand-wringing about asbestos. Imagine that

If it really is "game over" then so be it.
Yeah got onto the second half, and see that. Still think the whole premise is wrong, as the changes in environment are as likely going to turn our planet to Venus, as return to business as usual, minus us. Sorry for sort-of missing the forest by focusing on the tress though
FWIW I think we missed the boat on this by at least a couple of decades once you factor in requiring humans to support the changes on a wide scale

There's something about birdwatchers you know because Bill Oddie is a proper cunt too.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound dismissive or morbid about the seriousness of it, only trying to point out the paradox in getting upset about inevitable oblivion.
That doesn't mean I don't think we should do absolutely everything we can to engineer our way out of it.
