  • Are the wheels in the dropouts properly?

  • Are you going round a velodrome?

  • My Bob Jackson did this due to having been crashed and the forks shunted so the dropouts were slight to the right. 531c steel and only a minor misalignment so the forks were repairable.

Take out the forks and lay them flat on something like a tiled floor or lino with parallel lines. That's how I was most easily able to see the steerer tube not being in line with the axis of the fork legs.

Or it could be something else.

  • Thanks for the tips

  • Two teaspoons of salt is effective. Probably should've started with one, but Go big or go home, right kids?

  • Best place to eat for a northerner that likes a proper feed and drink who finds himself on a work trip staying overnight at the Lewisham Premier Inn?

  • I'd walk to roxburger (10 mins tops down Lee high road) for an ace burger and some nice booze. Or meze mangal, which is a bit further and in the new cross direction (turkish). More pubby - the ladywell tavern used to be a solid offering but haven't been since they changed the sign so no idea what it's like now.

  • Thanks! Shame they cost exactly the same as the whole headset would.

  • Does anyone know where one could download Bonkers 15: Legends of the Core?

    Asking for a friend

  • That takes me back. Bonkers and Helter Skelter tape sets. I bought a happy hardcore CD about ten years ago for nostalgia and it gave me a literal headache.

  • I am sure it will be on some torrent sites.

  • It's on some torrent sites but has no seeders. Apparently.

  • Levante (Turkish) on high st opposite the shopping centre is good food. Someone recommended the Fox and Firkin recently, I haven't been yet but planning on checking it out. It's also on the high st but further south towards the junction with Ladywell rd.

  • Is fabric softener a scam? My searching just turns up Mumsnet posts so I'm obviously not putting the right words in the internet.

  • The regulator on a radiator is stuck open on hot, hot and I don't want to force it and cause another issue. If I close the out regulator it should work as well as shutting off the in, shouldn't it?

  • I still listen to some happy hardcore and gabber sets. Good for turbo.

    CHEESE PLEASE!

  • Depends if you like water-repellent 'fluffy' towels.
This household hasn't used it for 20 years.

Last time I checked the active ingredient was based upon animal-derived fatty acids.

I also do not like the odours the manufacturers choose.

  • @OldSkoolRacer, if he's still out there, might be able to help you.

  • Of course!

Modulating/regulating/optimising the outlet of each radiator is the basis of a balanced (wet) central heating system.

  • You are correct in your assumption.

  • Thanks @mespilus & @freezing77 I couldn't see why it wouldn't work. I'll tackle it when the weather has warmed up and breaking it won't be as much of a problem.

  • Sensible plan,
I have a (slightly) rusted radiator in the downstairs toilet to replace.
Fingers crossed it holds out till April or so.

Other than wiki, think about what fabric softener can do for you.
    It reeks.
    It feels greasy.
It's unnecessary manufacture degrades the environment.
Do you have clothing made from technical fabrics? Don't let fabric softener anywhere near them.
It's a chemical soup that the company will be loathe to divulge the ingredients of.
If you're worried about static (that seems to be the other reason for it's invention) just hang your stuff to dry, clothing and linens feel better line dried (to me) anyway.

  • Thanks (and to @mespilus too). I haven't used it for years, I was just checking I hadn't made up it's uselessness while questioning someone's use of it and general #firstworldproblems on another internet platform.

  • Anyone know what bearing Superstar ICON hubs take? I can't identify exactly which Novatecs they are...
