  • The A7's are all mirrorless not Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR). There is a fairly big difference between the 2. Biggest advantage of the A7 series is that they are all full frame, do you need full frame. The files the A7r's produce are massive and the native lens choice for the series is not great. It's a decent camera though, especially if you are using normal to long length legacy lenses with adaptors.

  • A6300/6500 are both lovely to operate and produce great results. 6300 still a bit expensive for what it is compared to the 6500. As above, neither are DSLRs but they can produce seriously good images if you take your time and have great auto features to boot.

  • Also as above, not full frame so factor in crop on your lenses.

  • thinking about an lx100 or rx100 - anyone selling?

  • I've got an A6000- it's a good camera. Good pics, but I can get it into a jacket or jersey pocket when required. Downside, as said above, is the lenses.

  • Anybody fancy this Canon Sure Shot Max for £10? Was working when went in desk drawer a few years back, no battery to test but money back if it doesn't work.

@Dapswuan said he/she would take it a year or so ago but for whatever reason we never got round to sorting it.

    Collect Aldgate East or Clapham/Brixton

  • Fuji just updated the X100 (to X100F) with the sensor and processor from the X-Pro 2 and all the film/grain effects etc.

They've also updated the physical controls really nicely.
Shutter speed dial now includes an ISO sub dial and the EV comp dial has been updated to go 1,2,3,c with "c" being programable for being either +- 4 or 5.
Controls on the back have been updated as well, with a joystick and made it better for one handed operation.
    Autofocus has also been upgraded.
Lens is the same as previous three versions so the tele/wide adaptors still work.

  • Just this week I was thinking about finally upgrading from my original X100 to the T, having no idea this release was coming.

It's very hard to ignore the F now, annoyingly. Will have to go and have a play with one when they hit the shops...

  • Good timing!

I'm still very happy with the OG X100 but if it ever decides to bite the dust, an F would probably be in order...

  • having the x100t this release is quite disappointing as the lens is still the same from the original x100.
not worth the upgrade for me

  • I still find myself surprised at how versatile the OG is (and in reality am unlikely to actually upgrade it any time soon) but I do miss opportunities because of slow/dodgy focus sometimes, which is annoying. I really don't have any need for a 24MP sensor, but faster/more accurate AF would be awesome, and that focus 'joystick' is excellent having used it on an X-Pro2 briefly.

  • How do you find the X100T? Did you have the OG or the S previous to getting it? Just interested in hearing unbiased opinions on the performance 'upgrades'. And I agree, I think the F from the T is a pretty costly jump for anybody non-professional.

  • Exactly my experience. AF is the only thing that lets it down. Resolution doesn't matter.
Some weather sealing would have been nice but not a big deal.

  • I like the sensor in the Xpro2 better than the X100t sensor - it doesn't get that waxiness problem at high ISOs. And the Acros b/w mode is ace. The actual megapixellage isn't important in itself, but it seems to be part of how they fixed the processing issue that was producing the waxiness.

  • I have a problem with the manual focus on these. Unless they nail the AF or MF (either is ok!) it's not much use to me.

  • i only had the x-pro1 before. Autofocus is considerably faster in the x100t vs the x-pro1 with 35mm and 56mm lens. with the 18mm its comparable. IQ wise i find them the same. OVF is nice although i dont use it much. as a previous sony A7II and Leica M9 user i have to say that both were better than the Fujis and i miss the Sony.

  • Maybe they'll do an EVF only version à la X70 but with the new sensor and 23mm...

  • Anyone interested in a VGC Konica-Minolta AF 17-35mm F/2.8-4 (D), Sony A mount? Found it while clearing out some boxes, shame for it not to be used.

  • I shoot A mount a lot, I'd be keen

  • Great! Will drop you a PM

  • Anyone selling a Fuji mediumformat rangefinder?

  • Anyone have a Pentax k1000/Spotmatic, Canon AE-1 or similar. Gf wants to get into shooting and was after an entry level film camera. Cheers.

  • I've got a Pentax ME Super with motor winder that's been CLA'd about 18 months ago and works well and a Pentax MX body that needs a CLA (metering is fine but the shutter curtain hangs at slow speeds and masks half the shot). Can include a Pentax 50mm f/2 lens and possibly a non-Pentax 28mm f/2.8 lens if I can find it. PM me if you're interested in either.

  • This probably doesn't interest anyone, but I have the AA battery bit from my now stolen MB-14 battery grip for Nikon D600 (also fucking stolen) Free if you pick up from Kings X.
