TBH, not worth it when you can get a Pinnacle Dolomite with better specification for £200 less.
Or even get the full hydraulic for £100 more than the Optimo Tiagra.
Alternately, go full carbon and hydraulic with the massively cheap Saracen that have huge clearance for 28mm plus mudguard, only £100 more than the 105 Optimo;

Highly doubtful, the Optimo replace the dated CAAD8 (and there's no Optimo rim brake model in the UK AFAIK).
It's a budget entry level frameset, and they tend not to be sold as frameset, however it is a better well thought out design in term of cable routing.
