  • Fog has cleared. Go. Im leaving now.

  • Are you, are you at my house?

  • Crashed on ice on the offcamber edge of a country road this morning. I was trying to say out of the way of a fast approaching car. lost the rear wheel and landed on my fat arse, thankfully. stubbed my toe was the worst part, damaged saddle and bar tap but nothing else I could see.

Can you run 28mm tyres lower than 75 psi ? I might try going home.

  • @stevo_com I rode in from Carshalton at 6am with no issues. Very minor side streets were frosy, but main routes were fine.

  • Went slow, didn't die.

  • Can you run 28mm tyres lower than 75 psi

    I run mine at 60 and I'm not dead yet - I'm 80kg

  • lolz, no but in croydon. took it slow as well down with the flu.

  • No ice here luckily...Sustrans path was gritted just in case.

Belfast delivered the nice damp penetrating cold which resulted in screaming fingertips the first ten mins of my commute. Arrived at work, forgot my notebook and change of top (Mondays eh?)

Made up by the security guard talking about an artist that paints with this penis (not making this up) and 3 of us near pissing ourselves laughing with willy humour. Would make easy jokes again 9/10

  • It was shit

  • I was warm as all hell thanks to my new Lusso aero+ jacket (seriously wish I'd bought this ages ago - it's so lovely and warm and windproof). Had a tourist wander out in front of me looking the wrong way on the blackfriars cycle lane bit south of the river and then had a tiny kid wander out unattended right in front of me a little further along. Stopped just in time but near enough shit myself.

  • I had a tiny cuticle split/hangnail that was fine this morning but the re-circulation of blood as my fingers started to warm up caused it to piss claret everywhere. It was quite impressive.

  • Turn it into 'wanker' hand movement.

    Day saved.

    You're welcome.

  • Only had one little back wheel spin on the way in, so it was not as icey as I was expected, but it was very bitter. New jacket from the Rapha sale was a decent addition to the Gabba layering this morning... #buyer

Got complimented on my Pomp by a chap on a Charge Plug - perhaps he's on here? Solid commute overall.

  • Deer are spooky when they just sit on the side of the road watching you as you glide by.........

...warm from where i started out, then got progressively colder towards the city , frosty paths but no ice - my 25mm contis (90psi) seem to be giving me plenty of grip - touch wood!!! wind was low today, so 1h32m in.

ordered a bioracer winter jacket on offer (69quid) with pixel100 technology.
i've been using a Sugoi ZAP waterproof reflective jacket this year and its been a sweat fest due to the milder temperatures than normal - even with a ss jersey underneath - year before when we have -10 spells it was perfect.
hoping the bioracer is more breathable for days where no major rain forecast - can always baselayer underneath it too.
would not ride these unlit country roads without major refletiveness to the jacket!

  • Hyde Park, killer fog.

  • ..as in John Carpenter stylee?

  • Yeah man, I cycled into it in a group of six, only 2 of us made it out.

  • Fog may be wet, but I doubt that means carp enter it.

  • Floated in on the SS plus bike today.

Forgotten how lush 3 inch tyres are.

Apologies to everyone stuck behind me as my bars seems to take up 2/3 of the width of some of the bike lanes.

    #convoy!

  • Amazing how many cars this morning didn't have their lights on... that's all!

  • Was it me, or do all the roads that are still wet with remnants of the smog, that little (read much) more slippy/deadly than usual?

  • Woke at 5.30. In Regents Park by 6.30. Few circuits. Flicking freezing. Need some of those overshoes. To complete the black banana look. Then home to E Finchley. Shower. Bacon sandwich. Tea. Suit shirt tie. Northern Line to work. At my desk at 9.30 detouring via M&S for sticky buns. Because I'm worth it.

  • Punctured this morning on a huge pothole at the junction of Kennington Rd and Black Prince Road - stay safe out there kiddos!

Had no tracknut spanner on me so had to get it changed in a bike shop. Why is it that these places insist on taking your name and email address to sign you up to spam. Annoying.

  • Been dodging that pothole all week, doesnt help the road is also flooded from a broken water main. At least its close to Balfes!
