Will a saddle clamp designed for 7x10 rails work for 7x9 rails?
Depends on the design. It might bottom out on some other part of the clamp before it grips the rails.

Will I die if I eat some beef jerky with an expiration date of almost a year ago?

Will I die
Yes, eventually, but it's unlikely to be pinned on a product designed to remain safe to eat essentially forever.

How do modern kettles know when to stop boiling?

For a HRM strap, is salty water better than plain water for conductivity?
If yes, how much salt is optimal in say 500ml bidon?

Recently I tried eating some sweets with best before dates in spring 2015. I figured sugar kept dry doesn't go off. Unfortunately it was the plastic bag that had deteriorated and they tasted plastic-y which was somewhat unpleasant. You might get the same thing with jerky especially if it's oily.

Surely sweat would be salty enough?

I've always just licked it

Bi-metallic strip, reaches temp, trips the circuit, turns it off.
Unless you mean smart kettles, in which case fuck only knows what bullshit they've tried to program into them while they beam your brew-making quirks to some clandestine anti-caffeine organisation

Well so far so good, the only plasticy feature was the texture of dehydrated flesh #apologiestothevegans. I'm still standing, I've been to the gym, my morning motion passed as normal...

I checked with work, CSG still saying 100 hours, but take your point as some of the Lefty needed servicing much sooner than advertised
-
• #81543
CSG aren't going to tell you anything different to the manuals they are shipping with the bikes :)
Out of interest are you still working in a CSG dealer? I might have a favour to ask...
-
• #81544
That I am, send me a PM about the favour.

Has anyone used this product ?
Couldn't find many first hand review on the internetz ...
Do you think it would actually permanently waterproof ?
what about applying it directly on clothes ie jacket ? -
• #81548
I've never used it but have seen a great video where someone treats the chest pocket of their white shirt and drinks red wine out of it with a straw. Can't remember if it was general public or their official video though.
Some good videos on their instagram
Edit: found it, well it's strongbow and not red wine but still...

New (second hand bike), the fork by preference keeps turning to the left when I push it/roll it at low speeds, any ideas why?
I am imagining a cracked steerer, but I hope one of the aheadset races is pringled or something less severe
-

de-assemble, re-assemble, check. a bit like turning it off and on again.
its possibly just a fine-tuning mistake, but could be anything from bent steerer to cracked cup/race whatever.
good suggestions!
