  • Me too. Had a go on a bouncy roubaix at the lbs, can see the benefits, but they should have made room for larger tyres also.
    Think spesh got it right with their adventure range, awol, sequoia and diverge all decent bikes.

  • Their adventure range certainty tick the box from the proper tourer to the lightweight roadie with slightly bigger tyres.

    I have ridden the Diverge and it's truly a comfortable and fast bike, well build and excellent equipment (thru axle, flat mount, decent clearance etc.) my colleague got one but eventually change it for the obsoleted* Cannondale Synapse* carbon disc because it felt more like a race bike.

    *It didn't even have flat mount on the 2017 model.

  • Can honestly say, out of the big boys, Spesh n Giant are the only ones I'd consider. Never been a fan of Trek or Cannondale.
