Has anyone had hiccups in audio playback from iTunes when using Airplay?
My Mac is connected with ethernet and never gets the hiccups but boyfriend's Air is connected with wi-fi and gets bad hiccups and sometimes complete gaps in playback.
It happens through our living room hi-fi (with an Airport Express plugged in) and our kitchen hi-fi, which is a Marantz mini system with built in Airplay.
So I figure it's not either of the receivers or the network that's the problem, as it's fine via ethernet, so does the router seem like the most likely culprit?
Mine is pretty damn solid, never had an issues when playing from iMac in the study to hifi in the living room... wonder if its interference with your wifi (too many networks)?
Could be couldn't it? When I've got the new router I'll use that app Velocio recommended to see what the local wi-fi environment is like and change channel if necessary. Sounds like a plan!
