3T and Pro both make -17ยบ stems
-
• #3
Thanks! And how are they compared to Thomson and Zipp?
-
• #4
They're just stems. The Thomson is considered poorly designed, but tbh they all do the same job perfectly adequately.

Planet X
Pro = cheap and light
Cons = evil and might go bust at any second and take your cash -
• #6
Alright, so what would you take in to consideration?
What's the best quality for a decent amount of money? -

Kalloy Uno. Cheap, light and the graphics can be acetoned off.

The eb*y one is much nicer, roughly similar price. Just do a search on them.
I think they have two variants with one made with 6000 series alu and the other 7000 series. Both have +-7 and +-17 version. -

I'm gonna say from personal experience with both thomson and uno stems.. that the thomson feels more solid but overkill while the uno is more road appropriate

I was thinking about this onehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/120-mm-x-31-8-Black-KALLOY-UNO-AL-7050-Ultra-Light-Weight-Stem-17-degree-Road-/231749645772
Exists in other lengths too ;-)

Alright. Bought the one you linked to. Looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it works.

Kalloy is nice. Decals are easily removed with nailpolish remover
-
• #14
Contec Brut is also an option, but not that light.

I just want to add that my vote is on the kalloy stems. cheap, light, good and good looking. a swiff of acetone to get rid of the decals, job done.
so, good decision!
So far I've been looking at a Zipp SL or a Thomson X2. Any other suggestions? Pros, cons?
