• Once road discs become mainstream it could happen. I guess I'm really looking for track rims, but thats not really a thing anyone makes. Archetypes/TB14s are sort of what I need but kinda heavy compared to how light the macks are (320g front and rear)

    Not for loose rims, mostly because loose hub makers aren't likely to go sub-24 for disc brakes. There are factory builds with 21 (14:7) and 20 spokes, and 18 would be possible as a 12:6 build with very deep rims, but I can't see components for handbuilds going that low.

  • Like you say, very niche, but someone who may do an asymmetric design is Pacenti, they did some for bikehubstore in the US, and Kinlin have also done some for them. Either that or they're getting them in undrilled and doing it themselves.
