  • So not much news really, apart from:

    • Rear wheel relaced with Halo Spin Doctor 6D hub (11sp road compatible)
    • Trp Spyre calipers/discs
    • @lolo suggestion of a fangled nut in some tubing worked a treat to mount the front mudguard under the fork bridge. Holding up strong but think I'll have another go at this to get it a bit neater.

  • I've used a star-fangled nut in a piece of spare tubing - it worked well, but you only have a few threads either side to engage with. I refitted my GB mudguards recently and replaced that setup with an upside-down top cap (to act as a properly sized washer under the steerer, and it's slightly conical too) and a stud connector. Not quite as aesthetic, but there's lots of thread to engage and I don't have to carefully file down the bolt to stop it bottoming out! Will grab a photo when I next have the bike out.
