Due to big windows, I don't have much wall space to play with. If I did, I'd probably use the modular stuff posted above. Shadow boards are nice, but who's not going to add to their tool collection at some point and need to re-jig things?
As it is, I like to put things away in draws or boxes once I'm finished with them. Seems tidier that way, and only slightly less convenient.
