Welcome to the forum. That's a very nice gift and you should consider yourself extremely fortunate. It looks like the frame is in great condition and has a Super Record groupset which was the best you could buy in the 70s-80s.

Like @SideshowBob said, it's a Super Record groupset on it (the cranks and front derailleur are Nuovo Record) , which was the best. Also has a Cinelli Unicanitor saddle, the frames in great nick too. Need a closer look at the Columbus decal, but looks like it could be SL.

I just entered the cycling world after being given an old Somec. I do not know much about it but I came here in hopes you guys could educate a guy like me on this bike.
