• They are awesome, but because they are base on an old design, they can squeal horribly when pads not aligned, in order to aligned them, you may need to actually bend the arm (which is actually how they aligned pads back then before we have washer).

    They are without a doubt very powerful and stiff, with no judder at all, I love mine but it take quite some time to get it set up.

    They are better than Canti because of the lack of fork judder for a more powerful feel and still obtain massive clearance for a huge mudguard, however the biggest limitation is the choice of brakes, whether cantis you get a massive choices, but required more fiddling.

    My only experience of centrepulls has been the old Weinmanns on my tourer, which are rather indifferent; but they need new cables and probably some better blocks.

  • For the sake of your wallet, you can always go cantilevers, as you do have a huge choices to go for.

    Plus, it is a steel frames, there's no reason in the future that you can get braze on replaced, I did exactly that on my Oak.
