• The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Can we move on, beside the 2007-clown red nipples , please?

Another nice example (H+Son, Chris King, Sapim CXRay, DTSwiss, etc), from 2015. You can think about me that I am from Neanderthal, I am fine with that, if your advice will help my project that will look like I want in the best possible way :)

  • I have built a few H+S SL42... never thought much of them... very narrow, quite heavy and if you have brakes, the black disappears quickly. If you don't have brakes, then the Formation face rim is nicer... although it's the same thing without a brake track.
Also, don't see the point is spending a fortune in light spokes, when you build heavy rims

Archetype is the best rim H+S makes, whichever way you want to look at it. If you don't use brakes, then you might want to have a look at the new H+S hydra

  • Good point. But I will use brakes, it's a ssp project, not a fixie one, because it's a lot of traffic here and not so much rules...drivers, specially cab drivers, don't give a... for cycling. For that reason (traffic) I will use a 44/20 or 49/22 ratio too.

Did I mention that we don't have such a "cycling highway" or dedicated roads like in Denmark? Yes, it's sad.

LE.Otherwise the CNC's SL42 are 45e and the Archy are 71e, even they are lighter. Hmm, I don't know what to say/
