I had TRP CX 8.4 with a 35mm guard and the cable used to rub. I ran Kojaks under it which come in 30/32-ish. You can go full size V but will need something to compensate the cable pull like travel agent.

True, I had the Cx9 with a 35mm guard with 2-3mm clearance. However, the Motolites in particular look to have a fair degree of adjustment.

I see. But aren't Motolites a "true" v-brake with long cable pull?
