Are you going to use brifters or stand alone brake levers? If the latter is true, just get full v's and brake levers to match.

Ive fit an rx5 mini V (85mm arms) over a 45c slick with mudguards. Mind you it was 700c but that shouldnt make a diff.

I have been trying to work this out, some people say they've done it (I was looking at 38s/45mm guard, 42s might be pushing it). A lot of it seems to be to do with where the bosses are welded on. Planning to get a pair of CX9's and get the calipers out.

Anyone have experience fitting mini-V brakes to a 650b x 42 set up with mudguards. Thinking TRPs or Paul Minimoto's or Motolites. Do they clear?
This is for a Soma GR build with Hetre's and Berthoud 650b x 50 mudguards.
