Anyone interested in some paraboot Michael Marche Marron Cafe Shoes?
UK 11
I bought these off ebay unworn last year and thought that they would still fit even though a half size too small. I don't wear them because of this and heading to Paris in Feb so will pick up some others (mebe ponyhair) in the right size.

Just picked up my first pair of Bexley shoes - Oxfords in a chocolate grain.
Got to say on first impressions I'm quite impressed. They were on sale, so with some laces and a couple of pots of cream it was something like £85 all in. (the cream does work out at vgvfm I think)
Blake welted rather than Goodyear, but still nice calf leather and well made. I doubt they'll get tonnes of use so hopefully they should last well.
If someone were starting work for €250 you could get a couple of pairs of shoes and some accessories.

Thanks.
Out of interest would anyone want a pair of sizes 8/9 leather boots (rubber Goodyear soles) which need resoling? Bexley also.
All quotes were £70 odd so not really worth doing. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone has the means and inclination to do it themselves.

Any thoughts on the wolverine made in 1883 boots? Been offered a pair for cheap, can't seem to find a lot of info about then.

Got a pic?

They're no redwings in quality of construction - but are you talking for work? I use them as work boots for doing work on the house.

They were less use than a chocolate tea pot when I phoned, denied that red ring actually made work boots.

Just for plodding around really, definitely not for work.

Should be fine then - they look perfectly ok, bit chunkier than redwings nice and comfy though

Monkee boots:
I've been single handedly reviving them (well, maybe not just me) for about 10 years or so. I love them. They're the antithesis of a lot of what goes on in this thread really. Cheap, plasticky leather and definitely not 'artisan' or 'handmade' or whatever. They're like the epitome of the cheapo bovver boot. -

Show me some pics, I'll see what friends can do..

Just got a pair of Wolverine 1000 miles. Still at the stage of wearing them round the house so that they don't murder my feet the first time I wear them out for the day.

Cheers. Will drop you a pm on Monday.
Basically the sole is worn, cracked and lets water though.

Got a pair of postman shoes from red wing. They're lovely, much less effort to wear in than 875's, and I can't wear them to work so won't destroy them in a year. They were 100 quid from surf dome if anyone is an 8 or 11 and wants some.

From their "how revolting can we make these high quality shoes" collection, or something more subtle?
I just got my hipster-issue 875 from the Soho store, worth calling them to see if they can get some in?
