  • I did have but I sold it last year I think.

  • I still want to upgrade my bars to something faster. Not sure what else to do to the Shiv really. It's not the limiter :)

  • this was my rather cheapskate route to a tririg like stem, as the top plate can be removed i drilled a hole for the brake cable, filed all the edges carefully and modded a brake noodle which i put internally to act as the guide and transition a 90 deg corner.

  • Since I won't be racing for much of the season maybe I should approach this year's TTing differently.

Perhaps I should try to ride as many new courses as possible?

  • Aero stem - and then that steerer!

  • yes, keep meaning to cut it.... then because the garmin as sat on top of the stem i didnt bother-it was kind of a fallback in case i needed to return to my old setup. I mainly fitted the deda as a method for centerpull

  • Then again, where are there fast 25mi courses? I can't be arsed going to Wales again and there's not much on the E2 courses.

The BDCA A50/6 course was good for a 50mi, is there a version of it for 25? Which is it? A25/11?

  • Just go e2. It's a motorway.

Ride a 100? They're good. Good training too.

  • @onyerbike I could be interested, but suspect I'm an XL.

I'm sure the nopinz one is great but when it's £79 vs £240 I'm not sure I can justify the difference.

Also, is that bioracer one the same as the one nopinz helped develop and are selling on their site for £175?

  • Problem with the E2 is there's only about two events this year I'm in the country for.

I would like another shot at Wales when it's dry but err it has to be dry and I'm taking enough time off work this year already to turn it into a trip.

Yeah, of course I've noted the longer races but most of them are Jun when I'm in USA.

    20-May-17 (B) North Norfolk Wh Cc B100/9

or maybe the Hounslow if I'm not too broken after TABR:

    9-Jul-17 (B) Rttc National Championship (Hounslow & District Wheelers)(Entries Close 13/06/17) H100/88

  • Looks similar but there's no NoPinz pocket.

  • Get one added for £55 and it's still cheaper.

  • I said it looks similar. They might still be different suits.

  • A25/11 and the welsh course are joint fastest -A25/11 is traffic and flat so suits the aerodynamic... what I'm saying is go to Wales and fall down a mountain.

  • I did that and it was a wet mountain and proved to be not as fast as E2 for me (1:15 slower). Not knowing how to take advantage of it was probably the main problem. Now I've ridden it and know where to make speed I should be able to go quicker on it but it's a long old drive.

  • You can't judge a course on a single ride.

  • I've only ever ridden E2/25 once.

  • Ok, there's actually a bunch of Welsh 25s available so maybe trying over there is more likely to give me the result I'm looking for. Might try and rope the other half in to share some driving though. The other thing I recall is that I prefer the steady state flat E2 vs. the flat out downhill then grovel back Welsh course. But perhaps with a better controlled effort this issue would go away. Still no closer to solving my left leg blood flow issue either. Time to fit those 155mm cranks... or 130mm... or 100mm...

  • I judged the bentley on a single ride. Fucking nutcracker.

  • I judged the bentley on a single ride. Fucking nutcracker.

Only if you insist on riding the long events. The 10, 25 and new 50 versions miss the expansion joints.

  • Not convinced the new 50 is faster though

  • Good point.
Those joints are brutal, after a few times round.

  • You'd have to be mad to do a 12hr on there...

  • Thanks.....I'm giving this a go.
