Ok, there's actually a bunch of Welsh 25s available so maybe trying over there is more likely to give me the result I'm looking for. Might try and rope the other half in to share some driving though. The other thing I recall is that I prefer the steady state flat E2 vs. the flat out downhill then grovel back Welsh course. But perhaps with a better controlled effort this issue would go away. Still no closer to solving my left leg blood flow issue either. Time to fit those 155mm cranks... or 130mm... or 100mm...
I did that and it was a wet mountain and proved to be not as fast as E2 for me (1:15 slower). Not knowing how to take advantage of it was probably the main problem. Now I've ridden it and know where to make speed I should be able to go quicker on it but it's a long old drive.
