So I got a bit excited and ordered some 10 speed shifters. Not sure why. Might as well upgrade my 1x9 to 1x10 though whilst I'm at it (now that 1x12 exists I feel its time to 'upgrade' - always behind the curve).
Obviously I'l need a new chain and cassette. I'm guessing I can't use either of my 9 speed rear mechs either (LX non-shadow and XT shadow)? - could probably do with a clutch mech anyway Deore looks good and cheap.
Should I not get on with the rapidfire shifters can I go back to thumbies? (I have Dura Ace 10 speed bar cons - I have the Paul DT shifter mounts but as DT shifters are traditional SIS and not dyna sys I'm guessing its a no-go?)
I can use the 9 speed stuff on my pub bike anyway.
