I'm getting ready to go the Wolverine way, but before I do, I have a question for you guys.
My LBS has the 1st gen. frame with the Tange/IRD Split Sliding Dropouts.
Since they changed it to the Split Seatstay design in the 2nd gen., I'm wondering if I better of with the newer design.
I'd like to support my LBS and they can give me a decent discount, but do the 1st design have any flaws?
Why did they change the design?
Thanks in advance.
No idea why, but haven't heard of any 1st gen horror stories so I'm sure it was more convenience rather than corrective. If you do go belt drive you're not going to be changing the belt regularly so I wouldn't worry about it being a slightly fiddlier job
