So i have accidentally ordered a CAAD12 Ultegra Disc, which i'm going to check out on Saturday.
I'll be selling my synapse to make way for it and swapping some parts about between the two.
Which leads me to...Whats the current favourite road disc wheelset for centre lock discs?

Hunt come with adaptor options for centre lock or 6 bolt. Excellent wheels, in different flavours depending on usage.
Edit - just checked, seems my info's out of date. Centrelock adaptors are optional extra.
Edit again - I'm an idiot, they are Centrelock as standard, and 6 bolt adaptors do come with them...

Forum approved is DT240s to some wiiiide WTB rims. I've also had good experience so far with bitex hubs

Right then Cannondale owners, Where is my best bet for getting hold of some headset bearings for my Caad10 at a reasonable price? A lot of places appear to be sold out.

Buy any tapered (1 1/4) integrated headset that's the Campy standard I believe.

i don't really have any need for anything super wide. I won't use a tyre over 25mm so a 17mm internal rim is more than adequate.
I was looking at Hunts, they look good value for money wise.

It's amazing the difference a new set of wheels makes to the overall look of a bike. Rolling deep on 62's.

CAAD12 owners - are they 9mm QR only? Or can you run one of those fancy DT swiss 10 / 12 mm jobs

Also, has anyone found a di2 compatible 25.4 seat post that's inline?
-
• #7317
any post is Di2 compatible when you wrap something around the battery
-
• #7318
even a thomson that's not round inside?
Is the di2 battery fairly skinny? 25.4mm inline posts are few and far between, i don't mind making some sort of adaptor to suit (have 3d printer will print)

I have a di2 one on the way, I don't di2 so if the parts are removable you're welcome to them. expecting delivery early next week.

The di2 battery is very skinny. If fits inside my 22.2mm TT extensions with room to spare.

interesting. I need an inline post to get my knee-over in the right place and there's not really any carbon offerings in 25.4

It won't fit in the 25.4 Thomson, I put cable ties around my battery with the excess acting as a spring (if that makes sense) and one in a loop at the end for future removal and put it down the seat tube where it sits quite happily.
I have a conventional QR at the rear (albeit a DT Swiss RWS one, and the 9mm solid axle at the front, also RWS. Both work very well.

Awesome thanks. I think i have solved the QR setup, it's just whether or not to go di2.
I guess on the alloy frame you can get away with the battery in the seat tube.
You might have inspired me with a way to hide it in the seat tube though, will update once i've actually acquired all the di2 bits
