  • and I'm not talking about violence here. but doing nothing is not the solution.

  • I'm not talking about doing nothing. I'm taking about sending him love and including him in my prayers.

  • In all seriousness though, it's not that binary.

He has been called out on pretty much everything and left UKip because it was too PC. At this point, in your analogy avoiding and ignoring him would genuinely be the best thing imo.

  • The very short answer is that to combat issues/cunts, you do not need hate and it can fuck you up yourself. But yeah not doing anything is also not helpful.

Responding with hate is usually counterproductive and anger can consume ones peace of mind
Anger and other strong emotions can also lead to security issues in your own mind, you are more easily manipulated. See the whipping up of xenophobia everywhere. It's best avoided therefore.

So trying to cultivate love can be used as an antidote to all that. Still do go out and protest/write letters etc...

  • Also sad gits maybe just need a hug :p

  • May not saying anything of substance yet...

  • Likewise it just becomes a competition of who can shout the loudest, and if you sit back and let the idiots influence the media, fake news, buses with lies on the side etc. thinking that people will see through it, you're wrong. The pro EU side needs to shout more.

  • Still nothing

  • Euphemisms for making UK a tax haven.

  • She is listening to the millions who voted to leave. She seems to be forgetting the almost as many who voted to remain. This issue has split the country almost down the middle.
How long before the 'let's join the eu' party is launched?

  • well, yes, quite. I think they're called 'the liberal democrats'.

  • This Dominic Cummings blog is interesting so far. Very long. Although this statement upset me:

"if Boris, Gove, and Gisele had not supported us and picked up the baseball bat marked 'Turkey/NHS/£350 million' with five weeks to go, then 650,000 votes might have been lost"

    Baseball bat marked "lies"

I got to that point and couldn't read any further, it was too depressing

  • There could not be a harder brexit than what she's putting forward thus far. No cooperation on anything, and breaking ties in anything that would require cooperation.

  • Are we leaving NATO too?

  • Cooperation with any EU bodies.

Although she's said she will cooperate with EU law enforcement and intelligence sharing. Huzzah!

  • and the UN.

    You heard it here first.

  • Apparently it's only right for these ideas to be debated. But opposition - both in parliament and in the press - only hurts Britain.

    Helpful.

  • Apparently Britain will get a good deal with Europe because it would be nuts for EU states to tell their people that they're going to do something political that will make their citizens poorer.

    I'm done.

  • The comments on the live feed on youtube... Oh my god.

    Some angry people out there.

  • Took me a couple of days to get through that post.

Cummings is scary and smart and in love with Gove.

make of that what you will.

  • Q: Could EU nationals get preferential access to Britain?

May says the government wants to welcome the brightest and the best to the UK. The government will set immigration rules according to the objectives she has set out.

Q: Will any business sectors be exempted from immigration rules?

May says the government is looking at this. It wants to welcome the brightest and the best. But the referendum vote was for Britain to take control of immigration.

Thats code speak for 'they will need a visa'.

  • She's not answering questions. There is no clarity.

  • A hard brexit is probably really going to fuck up Northern Ireland.

    Border
    AgriTrade
USA companies going to ROI instead

Sigh... Well, there's a protest the 20 February (the 3 million movement) perhaps I can get the finger out and see if I can get a crowd for Belfast. Even just taking the day off and writing letters to our MLAs maybe... we don't have to look like tits with banners*

    *protests, nobody cares.

  • Also, apparently May's claim that parliament would be advised on plans have now been fulfilled.
