Dolan tt build. Beater fixed gear

  • Hi all, got my hands on a dolan time trial frame complete with carbon forks and seat post.

Not a track frame which was a pain getting the tension on the chain but now it's all sorted. Half links to the rescue!

Some bits need changing but am happy for the time being.

Let me know what you think!

    (My cat fancied posing too!!)

  • How are you going to stop when your brake fails?

  • It's fixed gear not single speed. I'm pretty satisfied with it.

  • Are there rubber bungs I can get for the cable holes or is it just good old tape to cover them?

  • Without foot retention

  • I have been riding without foot retention for quite a while now. I have been thinking about it though.
What are the best options for these pedals?

  • you absolutely should have some sort of foot retention. cages with straps look like they'd go on those pedals

  • Power grips do fixie straps now. I'm a big fan

  • Whats with the DIY hole in the down tube man?

  • Sweet I will look at that

  • That hole was there when I got it. Not too sure really.
Any idea what it is for?

  • Just looked back, the holes were drilled for internal speedo wiring.

  • Guessing, as stated they were DIY? I would keep an eye on that hole, its awfully close to the welds.
I may be wrong but i think that means its a more stress prone area, so probably not the best place to have a good 1cm whole.

  • Yes that's very true. I have been riding this for a bit now and seems ok. Will certainly keep check on it.
