So Brewdog Grays Inn Road closed two weeks ago. That was a waste of a lunch hour.
They were boasting about their makeover less than a month before they just didn't reopen after Xmas, very odd.

Xmas drinking was Bombardier, Old Speckled Hen, Adnams Ghost Ship, Tring Ridgeway and Hook Norton Hooky. You can keep yer craft beers!

I live near Hook Norton, did the brewery tour before Christmas. Was epic.
Hooky do some decent crafty style beers, a decent red rye ale, and their seasonal 12 days is ace.
Not a big fan of the major breweries output but at least Hook Norton keep it real, they even still deliver to local pubs using horse and cart

Nice one, we were in Redditch drinking Hook Norton and Purity.
Was absolutely gutted a couple of years ago because I missed out on a massive group of friends doing the Purity tour then camping in a field next to the brewery, the guy organising is a landlord and was getting a few polypins at mates rates, would have been brilliant

Porters and stouts this winter for me too. I feel like I've found the alcoholic equivalent of black coffee!
Siren's Broken Dream and Wiper & True's Milkshake are delicious. I also ordered a few bottles of the Left Hand nitro and it's so incredibly smooth, really lovely and definitely my favourite so far.

Yeah am not sure I would drink dark beers in the summer, would be citrusy hoppy IPAs for me.
As far as depressing January goes, Porters and stouts are like a big hug for your liver.

Had some Brewdog 'Mr President' last night. 9.2% double IPA.
Tasted like barley wine. You can get pretty buzzed off one 330ml bottle tho, is like 2 pints of Punk IPA

BottleDog?
That was handy when I worked in the City and rode past daily.

The Buxton Anglo-Belgique IPA is worth every penny.
Sacre Brew do one called Buffalo Beer Belgian Quadruppel, which is excellent, they do loads of Belgian styles, I've only managed to pick them up when in Birmingham on work though sadly.
