• so I went out at the weekend and bit the bullet and got this little beaut...

A 1995 Rover Mini Sidewalk. nice we Limited (1000) edition version of the Mini Sprite.

Not a spot of rust on it and running as well as a 22 year old car should. Has had one owner since new and has only done 500 miles in the last 3 years. Was MOTed before purchase with no faults and so should be pretty sweet. Need to replace the fan belt as it is making some exiting noises sometimes but otherwise all good.

may also need sunglasses for that interior... I am Scottish though so almost get away with it.

  • Get that shit undersealed otherwise it will be rusty before we get to summer.

95 Sprite so it's 1.3 SPi? Should run sweet and be plenty nippy around town. Belt could be fine, if it's only done 500 miles in the last 3 years it's probably still new and just done it's initial stretch, the alternator is 3 bolts (2 fasteners and 1 hinge) and dead easy to tighten.

A set of Wipac clear lense headlights will make a good difference driving at night and there's a steering column lowering bracket that's a 20-30 min job if you find the driving position is too bus like.

All that won't change the appearance and will make a decent difference to driving enjoyment.

Is there a stereo fitted under the passenger side of the dash?
