Anal glands!
There that got you attention. There isn't an AQA dog thread so I'm asking here. When I was a lad we had a Golden Retriever that used to chew his back feet and legs and I remember it being anal glands causing frustration that made him do it. It used to be such a frequent thing that my mother became proficient at it.
Advance 40+ years to now - My stupid 9½ yr old Sprollie* has started chewing the base of his tail. It started at the same time as him dropping to the sit and having a good root about around his bum. It's a weekend so no conventional vet until tomorrow but am I right in thinking glands?
7 loooooong years we've had him and he's still a pain in the arse rescue dog.
