  • This WC course in Italy is insane.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uikqK2I-kao

  • Except the stream has just died.

  • Now it's back.

  • I get 'not available in your country'

    (probably VPN related)

  • It's working fine for me, so possibly VPN.

  • wow! better than the horse racing circuit they had last year (or year before?) - completely flat and boring grass course

  • Working. Course looks wild. 10/10.

  • I think they were told that if they wanted to host another round, they'd need to get a more challenging course. That was wild though, verging on dangerous, but I think it was due to the freezing temperatures as much as the off camber, rooty sections.

  • Sure they could have made the descent ride-able, but testing. I'd be surprised if there weren't a few complaints from riders.

Betteshanger was great today. Proper cross conditions without being a bike killer. Fast upper part of the course with some testing banks then a lower section requiring some cornering finesse and power.

  • I think the lack of safety measures was the most concerning, both Aerts and Arzuffi crashed in the same spot and hit the same tree, which didn't have any bales or padding strapped to it.

Well done on yesterday, this looks bike killing to me, but I know what you mean I think.

  • Have we had the Wout van Aert moto doping gif yet?

The one where his left pedal clearly hits the ground and moves the rear wheel forward. Sigh.

  • It was mostly pretty sloppy, so not much clogging up occurring. I didn't see any broken mechs.

  • Yeah, I guessed. The worst conditions for bike damage are usually when the mud has had time to dry out a bit, like at Hog Hill last January, so it's rare for it to be like that when it's still actually raining.

  • It's here - https://twitter.com/finnfitzgerald/status/820643097612845056

I can't seem to save it to upload here.

  • The pedal catches the ground, but surely with not enough force to make the rear wheel spin like that?

Wouldn't have happened with a Colnago...

  • He's going downhill, the back wheel is clearly lifted as the pedal goes around, of course there's enough force to spin the wheel like that.

  • given that the post on the London CX Facebook page is more confusing than Theresa May's EU exit policy explained by two goats, can someone tell me what the entry requirements are for the team championships? I have no team mates, can I still race? Do I have to find 3 other similarly lost souls? Is it a relay? Why...?

  • Composite teams are not eligible, so unless you can persuade three of your club mates then you can't ride. There is a support race for individuals, I'd still do that as, for me, it's one of the best courses the London League offers.

  • Anyone doing the Milton Keynes / Leyton double header this weekend?

  • Im thinking of selling my cross bike if anyone fancies a last minute go at cx this season.

Bought middle of this year, rode two laps of the hhv course before I punctured out of the race, haven't had time/motivation to get to any other races since. Too busy riding my MTB, which I also want to upgrade.

58cm 2016 caadx tiagra with 1x conversion, fit a new chain at the same time I fit the narrow-wide ring about 100 miles ago at most. Also fit bb7's front and rear, and a set of fancier wheels (dt350 on wtb i19 rims). New specialized Terra's less than 50m ago. Currently running with tubes but tubeless ready. Wheels not tubeless ready but fitted with a no-tubes rim tape. Frame and groupset have very little use, <1000miles I would say. It was an impulse buy.

Haven't advertised officially yet, thinking of asking £650, but thought I'd drop it in here first.

Might pick up a cheap and fun sscx for having a go next season, or just use my 29er.

Will leave it linger here for a while before I post a for sale ad.

  • I'm doing Leyton though.

  • I was hawking for a lift to MK.

    Will do Leyton tho
