  • Was better with steel forks regardless of paint. The internet bike community is so fickle - everyone loved the fact that it came with a steel fork before and now everyone's like 'ah this is the best thing ever. All City themselves are like 'ah man we are so stoked that we can save 1.45 lbs and offer this to you by collabing with our bros at Whisky on a carbon fork'. It's like, na, the big wigs at QBP wanted to shift more Whisky and get the name out there to more people so probably decided to shove a fork on the All City.

Mr pink has gone from a ten to a seven.

  • Isn't that the case with All City as a whole though?
I mean, for every new product launch it seems like the becoming more and more bland - like they wanted to sell more bikes instead of making something their own.
And I wouldn't say it's a QBP thing - Surly certainly seems to still make whatever they please.

Business in wanting to sell more products shocker.

  • I would say that AC is slowly coming closer to just surlys with more elaborate paint.

Well, Surly not exactly the most innovated company out there, their frames were great 10 years ago, have barely seen little updates.
