1930s Terrot Cycle Classic French Bike

Posted on
  • FS - another ancient Terrot cycle. To recap: Terrot was a justly celebrated maker of cycles and motor cycles, both being of excellent quality. After being taken over by Peugeot in the 1950s, they ceased production in the late 1960s. This model is a 'Standard Homme', made at their large factory in Rue André Colomban, Dijon. The frame reference is 561873, which evidently dates it to 1939. It has stood idle since being restored some years ago. Unfortunately, whilst stored in a spare room with lots of other bikes, it has picked up a few scratches on the frame/forks. However, it's basically in clean, unused condition. It comes with original 1930s Rigida flip-flop 700c wheelset. The frame is approx 57cm ctt. I'd like £250 for it, but am open to persuasion, as I'll never get round to using it. I'll dig out suitable brakes, if required. Collection SE London or thereabouts. Happy to post; willing to split etc.

  • 5 days zero views - tumbleweed bump.....

  • Really lovely bike! glws and free bump.

I have a French three-speed huret deraillieur, lever and freewheel, which would be just perfect on this ... free (post at cost) to your buyer should you find one. Kindly given to me by a generous french forumer known for his champagne ;) @Vince, I planned to use it but never did.

  • PS you restored it really nicely, well done.
