Gotcha.

I thought so too until I had one in each hand and couldn't tell the difference, aside from those mentioned. As the final branding will be conducted in Japan, might still qualify as 'made in Japan'? Sneaky...!

I guess I've just never seen anything to tell me otherwise.

What exactly do you want? Loads of 25.4 stems on eBay new and used.

Well, I'm not totally sure yet. the Geometry between a pre cursa 58 and 60 feels substantially different, with shorter TT and slacker HT. curently I have a +15 thomson 100mm which slammed + the nitto bars feels pretty good. I'm just not sure if I need a cm more reach. So right at the moment i'm thinking a 25.4 +15 110/120mm. I might be ok with finding that, but I just thought getting rid of 25.4 and moving to 31.8 might create more options down the line. but it seems not many other bars have as much up+backsweep as those nitto's.

Minor progress today.
Mk3 bike buddy fitted, msr bottle is temporary but can't find the 1l trangia bottle I intended to use, it's longer than the msr but still fits. Will be able to move the brackets and chassis for a more pleasing fit.
Salmon kool stops are in but squealing like mad so need a bit more toe in and breaking in.
Dope 90's pannier is sadly Liz's, not mine but couldn't resist trying it for size.

Knocked this up for under £200 to leave at my parents house in Wales.
Anyone have a Shimano Bio-Pace middle ring spare? The one on here is buggered. Huge thanks to @snottyotter for helping the bike get to me!

if you don't find the Biopace, sell the DX groupset to me, I need one for my 1991 Alpinestars mtb. ;-)
Nice bike!

Just saw that Guerciotti frame of yours, it's nice. Did you finish the Merckx?

Hairdryer to soften the peel off gradually while still using said hairdryer.
WD40 on a soft cotton cloth to remove the glue residues left behind.

I bought some 'sticky stuff remover' from a pound shop which seems to work quite well.
Because new frame+geometry means new stem... And finding a variety of angles/lengths in 25.4 clamp is a bit tricky. 31.8 has loads of options. Hence looking at 31.8 bars similar to the nittos
