yeah, kernel_task, damn autocorrect.
It's a known issue, but it's only become annoying for me in the last couple of days, and I'm not sure why.
I've found this link, where the guy disables it entirely..
http://blog.viktorpetersson.com/post/100148585299/how-to-fix-kerneltask-cpu-usage-on-yosemitehe writes below
"It appears that in case there is something wrong with the Mac, there is a chance that kernel_task will completely trash your system. For me, it was likely caused by a broken sound card.Since I was getting pretty desperate, I decided to try Rhys Oxenham’s suggestion, and simply disable the kernel extension for the particular model.
As crazy as this may sound, it did indeed do the trick. My laptop is now a lot more responsive, and kernel_task is no longer consuming my entire CPU."
Now I'd rather know what is making the kernel_task go crazy, rather than just disabling it, but am not sure how easy that would be to do.
I've been having troubles with my wacom tablet, so that maybe it, but the firmware hasn't changed on it, so not sure how to fix that without just stopping using it..Anyone else have any other thoughts?
kernel_task you mean?
Yeah, it's fucking annoying and nobody seems to ever know exactly what it is. Chomps cpu on my MBP as well.
