Wanted: carbon seatpost

Hi,

Looking for a nice 27.2 carbon post that will take oval rails, and isn't super short.

I'm especially interested in any of the following -

1. Ergon CF3/Canyon VCLS
   
2. ritchey wcs carbon flexlogic
   
3. Ritchey WCS Carbon (matt, not shiny)
   
4. Cannondale SAVE
   
   

but not especially fussy - so long as they're not all scratched to shit.

I had a Chinese copy of the canyon post, that one won't work for you if you want to use with oval rails because it's side clamping, you'd need a top/bottom loading clamp :)

Ah no problem. Think the 2.0 one is the split one though.

This might be a daft question, but if a post takes round rails, does it need a different clamp for oval? If not, I have a 3T Doric.

Yeah, it needs different clamps, but the clamps are sometimes available to buy separately.

My understanding is that whilst you can buy carbon rail specific clamps, most vertical clamps will work just the same since the oval rails have the same width as round ones, just taller. So the 3T would work perfectly. But this is only my personal understanding of it. I'm quite often wrong.

I have a very nice Bontrager XXX seatpost which takes interchangeable clamps. Cheers. Tom
