Only problem is i would want the black one (match the current smsl amp) but on amazon it has a weird cheap looking plate instead of the cool lcd

I reckon that's just the plastic protective film stuff, you can take pleasure in peeling it off.

Also, no idea why they're saying you can pre-order the black one. It appears identical to mine which I got a year or so ago. Unless there's been a further redesign or something?
