So what's the deal, is that new type seat clamp probably quite expensive and the seller decided to sell it separately for teh maximum $$$s or am I reading too much into this?
The new seatclamp is not that expensive to replace (compared to the frame).
I think there is a way to connect the current seatclamp but for safety reason I think its best to replace it with the new model one.
