  • Great portrait!
    Also very nice colours..

Yeah, just looking at the tiny slides with a loupe is the shit..
..have to get proper projector soon before they're all gone; it's so good to see them huge, way better than every HD video projectors..

  • A few more Rollei / HP5 shots.

Planning on shooting so double exposures on the Rollei over the next couple of weeks, got a load of Porta 160 and Ektar 100 I'm going to try it with.

Still getting to grips with my Epson v800. Although the internet seems dead set against ICE dust removal - I'll be damned if I'm going to remove it manually in PS!

  • ..really like the first one!

  • That flamingo shot is so cool..

About the ICE dust removal I'd say make the effort to scan the same image with / without / with different settings, to see when it starts to smudge things or rob sharpness.
I usually start with "auto" then dial it down a bit.
That redscale film I'm just scanning is dirty as fuck as well so definitely not going to stamp this all out per hand..

  • I used to turn ice off always and got good at keeping scans dust-free (perhaps because scanning b&w every day you're gonna have to learn good habits). I hate scanning.

Now I just really miss optical printing, especially colour.

  • sponge.jpg is my fave.

    cactus.jpg is triiiiiiiippppppppyyyyy

  • nice atmosphere with the last shot.

  • Ha, cheers. Glad people like the dishes!

The cactus is actually edible, but won't get you high (I tried it), it's just Opuntia..
    : ]

  • savage! came out well, got any more?

  • Portra 800! You should have a butler clean the dust by hand..... That stuff is pricey! Nice shots though.

  • Turns out latitude shrinks dramatically with redscale (or I'm not able to scan these right)..
so most of the rest of the roll is pretty fucked as I shot quite extreme lighting conditions.

  • Super fun though; already got the next roll of redscale spooled over (using the hassle free method now :-)

By the way this was Fuji C200, next one will be Kodak Gold 200 (but can't image there being that much of a difference to be honest)..

  • The Elicar 90mm F2.5 arrived, wow! Never had a lens that focuses like this, 270degrees to go from infinity to 0.5m but it keeps going to with another turn and a half to 0.35m. I'm going to have some fun with this! Thanks @GA2G for the recommendation.

Also ordered an adapter for the E-M1 so will do some digital macro shots too. Thanks for the recommendation

  • I'm seriously considering a iiia so I was pleased to see good images here - Would you recommend it?
I'd been looking for a Bessa T but was offered a iiia at an attractive price.
I'm happy with light metering and it comes with a good lens, so my only concerns are ergonomic (viewfinder, focussing and general faffing)

  • The Elicar 90mm F2.5

    I'm confused, it looks like a push-pull zoom lens. That's a 90mm prime?

  • Yup, it's a macro, 1:1 reproduction lens and a nice portrait lens to boot.

    Pretty funky bit of kit.

  • Is the lens hood mounted in the first pic?

  • Nope, there isn't a lens hood fitted!

  • So you just extend it for the macro functionality?
    Boy this thing gets huge..

  • Man, that lens is huge!
    Beautiful nontheless!
