Bit late to the party, but I'm pretty sure it's complete nonsense. Would certainly split the support - many wouldn't forgive him for the way he left, but equally there are plenty who would welcome him back as our midfield is so completely shit. IF he could stay fit I'd have him back as we desperately need some quality but I'm sure there are other targets that could add that without the baggage.
