I had my plate removed on a Friday and rode to work on the following Monday. Probably should have waited a few days, as the vibrations going over bumps on 23mm tyres sent some very sharp pains through the stitches. I think I stopped riding for the rest of the week, but it was three years ago, so not sure.
Pretty sure the bone felt fine and they didn't forbid me from doing anything, but everyone's case is different.

I got back on the bike today, 7 weeks after breaking it. Very glad of having had surgery as I feel that made things a lot easier.
First ride was super spooky, especially given the tube strike madness.
Can someone tell me about the plate removal? Did you have to stop cycling or doing other activities after the surgery? Did you feel any difference (weaker) at all?
