I was in Epping today testing out my new wheels and 2.1" Vittoria Peyotes.
It was not a succes. The clay and leaves completely jammed the drivetrain and there is not enough clearance for wheels to rotate freely. I'll happily swap if somebody has some 1.95" they'd like to pass on..
I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but slicks are going to perform a lot better on clay than knobbies. Maybe explore something like the Compass Switchback Hill (or Horizons if you're completely lacking in imagination)
Whats your clearance like? Without mud obviously. I was hoping to get to epping next week but thinking my clearances might be a bit narrow with 40c knobblies
