Less padding usually work the best, because the pads often deformed and put pressure on your nerve, the real thing doesn't deform (much) and keep it shape when sat on.
However, this is important; riding on turbo trainer and on the road yield completely different result on saddle because of the way you're sat on the bicycle, your cadence, coasting, etc.
I can't get this right. I've tried about 6 different positions. It feels good for about 45 minutes and then everything goes numb. I guess I might have to try a real one, maybe with less padding
